Buzz around OnePlus’ upcoming flagship device has started to begin. After OnePlus officially confirmed about the OnePlus 5, today we have some alleged GeekBench benchmark scores of the smartphone.

GSMArena, has got an exclusive screenshot from a ‘reliable source’, revealing GeekBench benchmark scores for the OnePlus 5 . The results show an excellent score of 1963 on single-core and 6687 score on multi-core placing it at top of the GeekBench 4 score list.

According to the source, these numbers turn out to be better than the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium, both of which feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC. In recent leaks we learned that the OnePlus 5 would feature the same chipset. The Galaxy S8 scored 1929 in single-core and 6084 in multi-core , while Sony’s XZ Premium hit 1943 in single-core and 5824 in multi-core.

The thing to note here is that the numbers for the Exynos version of the Galaxy S8 which was recently launched in India, have also been posted which point to 1978 on single-core and 6375 on multi-core. We recently reviewed the smartphone (with the Exynos 8895) and got a single-core score of 2002 and 6730 on multi-core. This clearly proves that even though Samsung helped Qualcomm to develop the 10nm-based Snapdragon 835, its own high-end 10nm chip is a wee bit better.

This also goes on to prove that if that screenshot is from the upcoming OnePlus 5 device, it will be slower when compared to the Exynos version of the Galaxy S8.
